Policy of the journal

1. General information about the journal

The Journal of Problems in the Evolution of Open Systems (JPEOS) was founded in 2003. The founder and publisher of the journal is the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi. The journal has a designed and approved cover and title pages indicating the university, imprint of the issue, ISSN, eISSN, editorial board members, editorial policy, publication ethics and a website. The journal is published twice a year.
Journal articles are registered in the CrossRef database and each author's article must be assigned a DOI - a digital object identifier that is used to provide citations, links and access to electronic documents.
The journal is indexed by the Kazakhstan Citation Base (KazBC) JSC
"National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise" (NTSGNTE).
The journal is also placed in the Scientific Electronic Library elibrary.ru in the public domain for readers and is included in the analytical database
Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
The editorial board of the journal includes leading Kazakh and foreign scientists.
The journal follows the policy of information openness and accessibility of authors' publications, articles are posted on the journal's website http://peos.kaznu.kz/ in three languages in full-text access.

1.1 Goals and objectives of the journal

The purpose of the journal is to familiarize the scientific community with the results of scientific research on the problems of the emergence and evolution of open non-equilibrium dynamic natural systems.
The main objective of the journal is to stimulate the development of research into the problems of the physics of the evolution of open nonequilibrium dynamical systems in various fields of science. These studies are necessary to build an evolutionary picture of the macro and microworld based on the fundamental laws of physics.
Journal tasks:
- Consecrate the latest scientific achievements in the field of research of evolutionary processes.
- To acquaint the scientific community with modern achievements of science in the field of interdisciplinary research into the problems of the evolution of matter.
- Stimulate the development of science and knowledge in the field of fundamental and applied research of matter.

1.2 Thematic areas of the journal

• General patterns of structure formation and evolution in large systems studied in all branches of physics;
• Research of mechanisms of interaction in various environments: outer space, environment, internal environments of the organism, in solutions, etc.;
• Approaches to the study of open non-equilibrium dynamical systems;
• Laws of dynamics of interacting systems;
• Nonlinear methods for studying the processes of evolution of systems;
• The role of disequilibrium and synergetic effects in the formation of any hierarchical systems and in their evolutionary development;
• Aspects of applied use of theoretical results obtained as a result of fundamental research, open non-equilibrium dynamical systems.

2. Conditions for publishing the manuscript

"Journal of Problems of the Evolution of Open Systems" is published twice a year in online (electronic) format at the following deadlines for the release of journal issues: the first issue is issued before June 20; the second issue - until December 20 of the current year.
For publication in the journal "ZhPEOS" are accepted articles not previously published by the author (authors) in Kazakh, Russian or English, which correspond to the thematic areas of the journal and are designed strictly according to the requirements for the design of the manuscript.
In the scientific articles of the journal, an abstract, keywords and information about the authors must be indicated, including the following information - surnames, affiliations, country name, and addresses of the author (s) of the publication indicating the main author, who is the first author in the list of authors, and the sign ( *) indicate the author for correspondence.
The manuscript of a scientific article is submitted to the editorial board by the author for correspondence (determined from among the authors of the manuscript in the presence of 2 or more co-authors) at least two months before the next issue of the journal is published. Manuscripts are accepted for publication in the journal (excluding the title, information about authors, annotations, keywords, bibliographic list) of at least 1,500 words and no more than 7,000 words.
The manuscript must be uploaded via the electronic platform by the author for correspondence, indicating all methodological articles and their authors. An article by the same author (prepared individually or in co-authorship) can be published in the journal no more than once during a calendar year.

Authors must submit to the editorial office an original work that has not previously been published in other publications (in print, electronic and other open sources). The authors are responsible for the reliability, novelty, evidence of the results of the study. At the stage of consideration of the manuscript by the editorial board and reviewers of the journal, as well as after its publication, the authors undertake not to submit this manuscript for consideration for publication in another publication.
At the stages of working with the manuscript, communication between the editors, the author for correspondence and reviewers is carried out through the electronic (online) platform OJS, and in exceptional cases - through e-mail.
The editorial board of the journal reviews the manuscripts received from the author/authors, organizes their review and makes a decision to publish or refuse to publish within two months from the date of receipt of the manuscript through the electronic platform.
The journal is funded by the Kazakh National University.
