Abstract

The present work is devoted to the numerical study of influence of noise and fluctuations on the signal generation modes in cluster of self-oscillating systems consisting of two linearly negatively related FitzHugh-Nagumo neurons. By solving the system of differential equations describing the system, using the standard Runge-Kutta method, relation between the accuracy of integration and transition between the signal generation modes was found. It was assumed that the accuracy of the integration physically simulates noise and fluctuations. This assumption was confirmed by the numerical study of the system using Heun’s method with inclusion into the system stochastic term which modeling white Gaussian noise.
