STRUCTURIZATION AND PROPERTIES FORMATION DURING INTENSE PLASTIC DEFORMATION ALUMINUM BARS
Abstract
Abstract. The effect of severe plastic deformation by equal-channel angular pressing on the structure and mechanical properties of pure aluminum. It has been established that by equal-channel angular extrusion forming ultrafine alumina structure with an average size of structural elements of ~ 1.5 µm. X-ray diffraction studies have shown that after equal-channel angular broadening of the interference lines, reducing their intensity, which shows an increase of imperfection of the structure and it’s high dispersion. It is shown that as a result of equal channel angular pressing microhardness, tensile strength and yield strength of aluminum increases significantly.
